At 3 pm on February 11 (Chinese New Year's Eve), Tan Xuguang, together with company’s senior management team, held a video connection with the “Three Highs” test team who was conducting extreme-cold tests in Hailar, Inner Mongolia, and sent them cordial greetings and blessings.

At 8:30 am on February 10th, Chairman Tan Xuguang presided over a special video conference to redeploy and remobilize production safety and epidemic prevention and control during the Spring Festival at Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and to implement the corresponding instructions and requirements of the provincial government and the provincial SASAC Party Committee. On the morning of Sep. 25, the "The Most Beautiful Fighter" commendation meeting was held in the Great Hall of the People. Tan Xuguang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, and Chairman of Weichai Group, won the honorary title of "The Most Beautiful Fighter ".

At 9 o'clock on the morning of Sep. 3, Chairman Tan Xuguang hosted a seminar for all Weichai PhDs. Twenty PhDs communicated with Tan Xuguang face-to-face on Weichai’s technology innovation system, innovation ecological construction and opinion on front-edge projects.

On Sep. 1, “2019 Chinese Top 500 Enterprises” was released by China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneur Association in Jinan, Shandong Province. Tan Xuguang attended the summit forum and delivered a keynote speech.

On Aug. 28, Conference for Promoting and Implementing Shandong Reform Measures was held in Ji’nan. The outstanding entreprenueurs and enterprises were announced on the conference. Tan Xuguang was awarded the title of “Outstanding Entrepreneur of Shandong Province” and the first-class merit award. Liu Jiayi, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, presented the award to Tan Xuguang.

In the afternoon of July 16, Tan Xuguang made a special trip to Heze City to investigate the construction of the first phase of Weichai's local poverty relief projects.

At 2 pm on July 14, Weichai Group held the “Sprint for the Volume of a Million Units” sales mobilization meeting.

At 15:30 on June 26, the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance released the White Paper on China's Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry in Weichai Group at Weifang, Shandong. Xu Guanhua, former minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ling Wen, Deputy Governor of Shandong Province, Gan Yong, former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and nearly 500 people including representatives of the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance and media reporters participated in the launching activities.

Recently, the 2019 29th CIMAC was held in Vancouver, Canada. The theme of this conference focuses on intelligent power systems, shipping 4.0 and future engine technologies. Weichai has brought a variety of engines to showcase the innovative strength and achievements of China Power to its global counterparts.

At 4 pm on June 14, Tan Xuguang went to the Chinese Embassy in Japan to meet with Chinese Ambassador Kong Xuanyou. Kong Xuyanyou met with Tan Xuguang and Weichai team.

On June 10-13, during the visit to Japan, Tan Xuguang hosted a special meeting to learn the important instructions from Premier Li Keqiang on his video conference with the Tokyo Science and Technology Innovation Center during the visit to Weichai on May 24. Premier Li requests further expansion of global technological innovation cooperation to support our machinery industry and equipment industry to achieve greater success.

At 14:30 on June 7, 2019, the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was held. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Putin attended the Forum. With the deepening of Sino-Russian relations, China has become an important participant in Russia's most important international economic forum. As an important force in Sino-Russian bilateral economic cooperation, Tan Xuguang, chairman of Weichai Group, was invited to participate in the forum.

At 11:00 on June 7, 2019, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Weichai Power signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with Kamaz Group and Yaroslavl Oblast government of Russia.

On June 5, Weichai Group held the pep rally of “Work hard for first half of the year to fully realize the budget target”. Tan Xuguang proposed to fully seize the effective market, accelerate the transformation to service-oriented manufacturing company, stimulate the innovation vitality of all employees, and promote the progress of moving towards the world first class.

Middle East market is a key market for Weichai. In recent years, Weichai’s power generation business has achieved a major breakthrough in the local area, especially in the Saudi Arabian market. The sales volume of Weichai power generation products in 2018 has increased by 260% year-on-year. In 2019, the market demand continued to be high.

From May 24 to 25, Li Keqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, visited Shandong Province. During his time in Weichai, Li Keqiang encouraged Weichai to let the power of Chinese equipment industry continue to rush.

At 9:00 on May 14, 2019, the launching ceremony of Weichai-Kamaz cooperation project was held in Beijing. Tan Xuguang, chairman of Weichai Group, and Sergei Kogogin, general manager of Kamaz Group, signed the agreement.

At 8:30 am on May 1, Tan Xuguang came to Weichai Large-bore high-speed engine project, Linde Hydraulic Industrial Park project and hydrogen fuel cell project construction sites to learn about the construction and equipment procurement progress. He required the construction of the project to be accelerated as much as possible!

At 9:00 am on April 13, 2019, the 8th International Conference of ICE Reliability Technology was held in Beijing. More than 1,000 experts, scholars and industry representatives from more than 270 universities, research institutes and enterprises gathered to discuss the basic theory and common key technologies of engine reliability to promote the progress of China's ICE reliability technology.

Recently, Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province released the list of “Enterprise upon the Cloud”, excellent experience centers and excellent industrial cloud platforms in 2018. Relying on its strong IT capability, Weichai was listed among the benchmarks of “Enterprise upon the Cloud”.

Recently, Shandong Province Governor Gong Zheng visited Weichai (Tokyo) Science and Technology Innovation Center, he highly praised Weichai for building overseas technology innovation and cooperation platforms.

On March 26, 2019, the 15th anniversary of Weichai Power's listing and the Innovation and Development Exchange Conference was held in Hong Kong.

Tan Xuguang, Chairman of Weichai Group and Ferretti Group, won the Leonardo International Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the strategic restructuring of the Italian Ferretti Group and the economic exchanges between China and Italy.

In the morning of January 8, 2019, the “2018 National Science and Technology Award Conference” was held in the Great Hall of the People. Weichai Power's “Key Technologies and Application Projects for Heavy Commercial Vehicle Powertrains” won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.

During 2018 Shandong Week in Hong Kong, talkfest “deepening the mutual-benefit cooperation between Shandong and Hong Kong, helping the reformation and development of state-owned enterprises”, Tan Xuguang, as the representative of Shandong enterprises, made a speech and negotiated the cooperation and development with Hong Kong enterprises.

At present, 2019 SHIG-Weichai Power Business Conference Bus Power Branch was held in Xi’an, showed the Weichai Bus Engines 2018 transcript-sales volume increase in bad situation, especially the bus engines greatly increased 70% and accounted for 52% of national sales volume.

On Nov. 29, 2018, in the closing meeting of the 40th Anniversary of National QCC Activities and CAQ Annual Meeting 2018, the list for CAQ Quality Technology Awards 2018 was released. Tan Xuguang, chairman of Weichai Power Co., Ltd., won “Liu Yuanzhang Quality Technology Contribution Award” and made a keynote speech “Practical Road for High Quality Development of Weichai”. Jia Fuxing, CAQ president, awarded a trophy to Tan Xuguang. This is another important honor won by Weichai in quality field after winning the 3rd China Quality Award.

In the afternoon of Nov. 29, 2018, Weichai group held a special meeting for management and R&D staff to learn and implement the instruction spirit of Liu Jiayi, Party Secretary of Shandong Province.

In the afternoon of Nov.28, Liu Jiayi, Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, led a delegation of growth driver conversion projects to visit Weichai. Tan Xuguang accompanied and reported.
